For folks asking about the 12 months of service part, all of that is answered in the original thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/16487416-mint-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-7-unlocked-smartphone-12-month-4gb-plan-289-recovery-fee-port-in-required-free-s-h?page=76#commentsHeader

tldr: Needs to be a ported in number. GV works (create a new gmail account, pay google $3 to port out). People who dont care about the 12 months mint service can just discard the activation kit and treat this as a $289 unlocked phone.

Oh - I see it as a non-factor. Most are getting the deal (seemingly) for the good price on the phone. I don't even want the plan shipped with it, was able to flip it for $50 bucks.

I wonder if i could ask my current AT&T service for eSIM to run on this thing?
As long as your current AT&T phone is paid off, sure.

But how do you actually get these 6 months if you don't port it? You already have a sim after all.
You can't activate the SIM without porting a number. You can contact customer service and get 6 months and a new number (according to the FAQ) but why wouldn't you pay $3 for a google voice number port out and get 6 more months?

So for $300 you're getting a brand new phone and 6 month service? Is there a catch? Asking because I paid full price for one of these just a few months ago.
Actually it is 12 months of service, the title is wrong.

The catch is you must port in a number that hasn't been on mint in the last 90 days. Google voice works.

If I'm already a customer, could I port my number out and then just port it back in next week? or is there some period of time you need to wait before being eligible?

Thanks, someone pointed out it's 6 months free, and if you port in, and additional 6 months.

Also congrats on the Oscar!
The only way to get 6 months is by going through support and they aren't known for being very good. Just port a GV number and get the 12.

Two weeks ago I ordered it first thing I saw the deal that morning. Made two orders for my mom and I, and got the "Just double Checking" email afterwards. Then 4 hours later I got an email from Paypal and Mint saying I am being refunded. Mint email didn't explain why I got refunded. Then I called customer support, and to see why my order got cancelled. They don't know what happened and told me that I am getting a refund and to just reorder.

I ordered it again with paypal later that evening and double checked my shipping and billing address. Got the "Just double Checking" email again. Then in the morning I got the same email from Paypal and Mint saying I am getting refunded again. I got fed up and decided to now try paying for it without paypal and by then the deal was out of stock in the morning.

So this is my new attempt to try to see if it will go through without Paypal. I never got a fraud alert from my Citibank and from reading the past comments in the previous post I am not the only one who had this issue as well. Some ppl even had a different shipping address and billing address that paid with paypal and their orders went through. Confused
With paypal, everything must match exactly, billing, shipping, your paypal acct, etc. Credit cards aren't quite as sensitive but your address must be very close.

But a lot of times orders are cancelled as the phone is out of stock. It won't tell you that, but it is often the reason for unexplained cancellations.

Tq yes 12 months is only for portin. If not it's 6 months.

Did u watch the movie?
The only way to get 6 months and a new number is by going through their support (good luck). Considering you can buy a number from google voice for $3, there is no reason not to get the extra 6 months anyway.

Yeah that one is clear. But I'm wondering how you would get 6 months at all if you already have a Mint number. It's not like you can take the new sim card and put it into your phone. How would you go about adding these 6 months to your already existing Mint account?
You get 0 months as an existing mint user. This is for new port-in subs only as it states.

You can buy a new line and get the 12 months, but you can't use it with your existing mint number/account.

Pro never gets in deal as per the trend only normal and "a" series in offers.
Pro had a great deal back in January. I think it was $500 with 12 months or service.

Is Ryan Renolds selling more plans this way (with loss) so that he gets better leverage showing more customers switching to Mint later when the deal goes through?
That's the entire goal of every deal Mint has had since their inception. Once the sale is final, these deals will go away most likely. In fact this deal is likely just clearing out stock they had ordered.

OP says no port-in required, but on the checkout page it says, "Must bring your phone number to Mint", so which one is it? I just want to pay for the phone and not port in/out my number. Can I still use this deal?
If you just want the phone, no port needed. The plan will be useless but the phone is fine. Give the plan to someone, sell it, whatever.

If you want the plan, you can contact customer service and they will give you 6 months with a new number, but makes no sense to do that, pay $3 for google voice number port and get the full 12 months.

I have ordered Unlimited plan with port-in offer. Can I activate the the SIM on my Galaxy S22+ phone and use different SIM like lyca mobile on this Pixel phone ?
Yes, as long as you port in a number on the Galaxy.
