For those that don't want or won't use the Barnes and Noble gift cards, consider using it on a low cost toy and then donating it. You could get something for free or very cheap. Here are some ideas all under $10, which are in stock at my local store (hopefully yours too, so you can avoid shipping costs)

Mine ended up being $20 for Diamond. Now I need to find something at Barnes and Noble.

Edit: Free shipping starts at $40 and is after any discount. They don't appear to carry any gift cards besides B&N ones.
