1080v11 and v12 are pretty similar, if you like NB 1080, consider getting the v11 if it is on sale. For ~$100, I will personally buy Asics Novablast 2 instead, or save a bit of money getting Nike Pegasus.
My heel had a tendency to slip a bit on the 11's, no such problem on the 12's.
The shoes itself also fit me better and was a bit more comfortable.
Can't go wrong with these shoes.
