Again, I have Sanyo Eneloop batteries still going strong, I have yet to discard any, and Sanyo hasn't existed for over a decade. I even have a BQ-CC55 I don't use; I'm good and I stand by what I said. The BQ-CC17 is a good charger that's no hassle, generates minimal heat, and gets the job done well. Sure, the new models with a refresh look nice, but they're still fast chargers, I don't recommend fast charges for NiMH. FWIW, I have a fully programmable 8-bay charger, but the BQ-CC17 is super convenient to not mess with cables/adapters/rates/etc.

The BQ-CC17 does a peak of 150mA for AAA and 300mA for AA. The BQ-CC17 is labeled "Advanced" because it's not a simple time based charger, but it's also not a "Smart" charger. The other models with more features are designed to be fast chargers and don't offer an explicit slow charge, it's all based on capacity (maximum charge rate is often a multiple of capacity).
