sorry this is a minimalist post but I saw this while following up on a comment on another post and it seemed worthwhile. it is not directly from Walmart, but vip outlet, which look pretty reputable. there is a less expensive option by a few cents but the seller does not look as reputable.

I owned this for 6months, randomly drops connection with satellites and/or modem. reset, no resolution. leave it unplugged for 2-3days, then it works again

I say Essentially because I have one older Acer laptop in the room farthest from either satellite that will intermittently drop connection and reconnect. But 2 rooms over it never drops connection.
My brand new work HP laptop in the same farthest room as the Acer never dropped connection once.... Sitting on the same desk at the same time.
So I'm calling that a crappy wifi card in my 5 year old budget Acer... Not a nighthawk issue
