Has image retention gotten better since the b7. Have tons of burn in on my b7 with the image getting much dimmer and don't want to go through that again

I'm not optimistic. The 48" I picked up recently didn't have a ton of room even after we folded the 2nd row seats down in the back of my wife's full size Subaru SUV.

We settled for 65" B2 for $1045. Although it's $50 higher than we had planned for an OLED for the size, it's acceptable. Extremely satisfied by the price and the quality. Now we know why people say once you go OLED, you are not going back.

10% max brightness makes zero in practice between C2 and B2 but most reviews and sites make you believe that C2 are the only models on the shelves.
