The ending of Inside left my jaw on the floor. One of the best games I've ever had the pleasure to play
That's exactly what I loved about the game: that it didn't hold your hand along the way, spelling everything out for you the way 99% of games do. I personally would've been disappointed if it wrapped everything up in a neat little package with a bow on top at the end of the game, as most games tend to do

I felt the exact opposite. Game itself was fine, ending was inexplicable and tried too hard to be mysterious, but rather was just a poor ending. No payoff or explanation to all the build-up.

I agree, I dunno how else they really coulda ended it
Any recommendations that isn't crap? I know Inside and limbo are good but I have in steam already.
I picked up Hong Kong Massacre on a previous sale, and it's been great for short portable pick-up gaming. Really well done, compared to Hotline Miami but slower and strategic

That's Playdead for you. Limbo's ending was also sudden and kind of "what? really?"

Which ending did you prefer? I was happy with both endings - especially for $2

But if you want an attempt at an explanation (along with a secret ending that sheds even more/less light on things) lookit here: https://screenrant.com/inside-gam...explained/
It can be hard to tell who the pieces are, and needs more levels of difficulty.
There is no great chess game on the Switch afaik.
