Looks like an affordable alternative to the aerogarden. Thanks

I have one of these, it seems to "do the trick". I found a random pepper sprout growing in a dirted pot, moved it to this when it was about 3" tall and have been getting a lot of chile peppers.

FYI you can get the Mufga 12 on sale for the same price or less on sale. I have 2 and they are as close to AG as you can get. None of the others including the idoo pump water up to the pods from what I have found.

I've had an iDoo unit like this for a year or so and it works great. It has a quiet water pump that keeps the water moving and the roots oxygenated, but when you're starting new seeds you do need to keep an eye on the water level so that the seed plugs can wick the water up until they start growing roots.

One important caveat is that they released an updated version of this that has a window on the side to show water level, but more important they moved the power connector so that it plugs in on the top of the light. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

I believe the one in this deal (which I had previously) the telescoping metal pole that light is connected to plugs into the base and the power connector is at the bottom. This mean that if you spill any water back there or in the groove where the pole sits the metal components can get corroded over time and the whole thing stops working

Great feedback here that is 100% correct. I paid $17 shipped for my unit during a BF sale and was happy with what I got. When the light panel malfunctioned, I contacted iDoo and their customer service was excellent. I had a new functioning light panel within a few days from contacting them and providing my Amazon order number. Not sure if I would roll with this model again at $40 but if you are careful about no spills then you may be okay.

These work surprising great, I now want to setup a larger system after seeing how well the plants grow in this.. The 16" height is a real limitation and you need to buy dwarfs seeds else it just grows to the light and blocks the light and makes a mess. It is a great starter. Got me hooked on to hydrophonics.
