This product is primarily for Windows or older Macs.
Compatibility Information
Compatible with Windows 10 laptops equipped with a Thunderbolt 4 port (Intel Evo Platform), and non-M1 and M1 Max/Pro MacBooks running macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later.
Not compatible with Linux or ChromeOS laptops, Thunderbolt 3 Windows laptops, M1/M2 MacBooks, or MacBooks running macOS 10.16 or earlier.
Reading the description, it just seems that it is acknowledging that the M1 and M2 can only output to one monitor. That is a limitation of the chip not the dock.
I use my M1 Pro with an old OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock and it works just fine but that chip supports dual monitor out.
Really lame they don't offer support for M1/M2 MacBooks.
Blame Apple. They're the ones who implemented single monitor out. Multi-monitor docks using M1 actually do it using DIsplaylink which is video over USB and a TERRIBLE way to do it for anything that's not static.

This hub doesn't support the MacBook at all. Not even single-monitor.

That's incorrect and literally explicitly stated in the item description and images. M1 Macbooks can do a single monitor output, mirroring the laptop screen or with laptop screen disabled.
