Yep, this is an alright deal if you've already got Makita 18V stuff, considering these don't go on sale super often. I scored a pretty good deal on mine - $470 shipped for saw + charger + 4 batteries + 55+39" rail... but that was back in 2019 as you noted. Lately the deals have been much less hot on these saws.

This saw cannot be upgraded to AWS for automatically turning on your dust collection. Otherwise this is a great saw and a decent deal. This doesn't come with the charger and case though.

More brands are now just introducing new track saws. Hopefully the new competition will bring lower prices and make track saws a fair deal. The way I see it, a track saw without the track, is a overpriced circular saw. I'm going to wait and see if someone actually offers a fair price on a track saw.
