The belt is long (54") and you are expected to trim/cut the belt to your size. After trimming, the cut end of the leather clips into the buckle, semi-permanently, with a spikey(?) metal clip. Then you fasten it around yourself and use the ratcheting belt buckle for day-to-day fastening.

I say "semi-permanently" because I've had mixed experience with these trim-to-fit belts. Sometimes the leather slips out of the grippy/spikey metal clip when you're putting it on or taking it off. While wearing it, the tension holds it in place. sarcasmogratis posted an amazon link above that has a video showing the process.

Same. I kind of don't like how it's pretending to be a regular belt. Embrace what you are, my friend!

Where do you get Hanks belts for $30-$50? The cheapest on their website is $75. The dress belts that I'd want are like $115-$195.
