Did you make sure your unit is calibrated? Mine wasn't initially so it would run to 99% with 1 minute left and I said oh crap my unit's battery life is shot. Turned out I could run another 32 minutes. These are refurbished so perhaps someone bought, barely used it, returned and EcoFlow just let it sit there until now. When you charge it, let it charge completely and turn itself off. If it's not calibrated, it may hit 99% and then take another 30 minutes to fully charge it; that was mine initially. I went through 4 cycles already so it's calibrated now. I'm try to determine if the capacity is still good since the unit I have looks "used" (don't mind if it was just used a few times but got dings, scratches, scuff marks)

Mine was def used, some light marks and alot of dust.

On the issue with AC power need to be turned ON after the battery completely drained. I think it is intended by design, especially the unit will go into sleep mode if not seeing Input/Output power after so many minutes.
Apparently in the settings there is a "lab" section where you can check a box to automatically turn the ac port on when the device receives power again after dying. Can you check if you see that option? Would be a huge help for me.

I think you are thinking of the Delta Pro! The regular Delta doesn't have app and there isn't any option for settings.
If you want to control with battery with an App then you need to get the Pro (either River or Delta).

No problem. Glad I could help out. I originally got the River Pro from Costco for $400 but couldn't pass up on the Delta (double Capacity for same price). However, I lost the apps connection and other features. Still testing to see the battery remaining State of Charge to see if it is worth keeping or return

Just completed a test with a portable heater. The Kill A Watt shown the battery lasted 55 minutes with the load of 1175W. Total energy 1085Wh. So I am roughly at 85%. Not too bad so I guess I will keep it.
