You really want something that gets in the way of the sliding door instead of pulling from the same side as the primary lock. But at this price (used one is like $1.xx w/ Prime rn) it's definitely added security. I may have just talked myself into this.

My nosy backyard neighboor is a better security then this lock. On reason to get this is if your lock is broken.

Slickdealers hack: just cut a 1x2 piece of wood (or an old broomstick) to fit in the track so the door can't move when it's there.
