I don't think this is a great deal when the iphone 11 can be had for as low as $60 from Metro PCS, that's with 1 month service included and you wait 6 months instead of 12 for unlocking.

I was able to add the phone and $15 plan by going to phone buy page selecting color and clicking check availability. Then before choosing a plan open new tab and BYOP (https://my.boostmobile.com/shop/buy/plans/) with $15 plan and click Choose Plan. Total (before tax) in cart $214.99.

I ordered Thursday night and was told I would get tracking within 1 day. My order status is "error" and I haven't gotten tracking, do I have to chargeback this purchase? Do they really plan on not sending anything AND keeping the money?

Well for comparison we're still on original iPhone X from 2017 and they're still going strong. Fully supported by the latest iOS and battery health over 80%. Apple makes a damn good device.
Physically most devices will last you years. It's just Apple will make their older devices obsolete by not allowing them to update to the latest iOS, and as a result not able to run some major apps. There's a good video about it "
The Truth About The Tech Industry - Keeping You Buying More" on Youtube.

I personally ran into this a while back when Apple won't let my perfectly physically working iPhone 6 update past iOS 12. Over time some major apps (banking, email, etc,) stopped working unless I updated iOS, which was impossible. So I had no choice but to upgrade devices.

To be fair, we are coming up on 9 years after the release of the iPhone 6. That's like still rocking a Galaxy S5 (also released in 2014) which maxed out on Android 6...

I'm not saying it's right mind you, but that's a pretty long time to support a phone compared to competitors.

Meanwhile, Microsoft doesn't support processors that were new 6 years ago in Windows 11.

Oh this wasn't recent. Was like 4-5 years ago.

Regardless Android still has app support for their 8-9 year old devices.
I'm sure there are some apps that still support Android 5 (just as there are apps that still support IOS12), but security updates stopped in 2017. If you google "app lollipop support" you'll find all sorts of announcements that apps no longer work on Android 5 stating security updates stopping in 2017 as one of the deciding factors (but likely some developer wanted access to some feature only usable by newer OS versions).

The iPhone 6 was supported all the way up to IOS12 which was released in 2018 and was the latest version until late 2019. This means the iPhone 6 hasn't been able to run the latest OS for a little under 4 years.

Even now Apple release security updates for IOS12, the latest being January this year. This is security updates 6 years longer than a phone running Lollipop.

When it comes to length of support on phones, no one really beats Apple.

Edit: Even Chrome doesn't support 5.0 anymore: https://groups.google.com/a/chrom...AQAJ?pli=1

You should've upgraded to iPhone 6S, I am rocking my 6S right now with iOS 15.7.3, all banking apps like Chase, Fidelity, and Capital One have no issue as of today. The 6S only costs about $10 more than the iPhone 6.

If you are set on the Pixel 7, why do this deal?

If you can port, Mint Mobile has the Pixel 7 + 12 months UNLIMITED for $380 + tax + recovery fee.
Pixel 7: $199
12-mo unlimited: $180
tax: ?
recovery fee: $40
-----
$420+tax

If you normally pay $30/mo for unlimited x 12 mo, that's $360, so the phone is $80 (after the fee and taxes).

If you get a lesser Mint plan 15GB ($150), then the phone is like $50 (after the fee and taxes).
good luck getting that deal out of stock i have been checking several times every day
in fact "Hello, thank you for contacting Mint Mobile, it's a pleasure for us to serve you.
We're very sorry, yes, were aware that the promotion is still on the website, even though the restoking has not been done yet. We have notified the sales team about that to see if they can update the website soon"

Wait for the following deal to come back. No need to trade in, and you can sell the plan if you just want the phone. Phone is unlocked out of the box.

i talked with a rep and they said there is no guarantee it will and that its a while supplies last promotion that will end at the 31st of this month. seems like they did it with x amount of phones and then left the sale up for clicks knowing very well they wont likely restock again other than perhaps a couple here and there. I keep seeing people say just do that deal but people are going to end up potentially missing other deals by waiting

Hopefully get it(still says error and no email like an hour later), if not cancellation and refund hopefully....under payment methods it says: Your account balance will automatically be applied to upcoming bills, before anything is charged to your payment method......may have to dispute with CC to get money back and hopefully all goes well. Cuz I know they have 7 day return for device, but they may try to hold onto that money.

Ok I know a trick to place the order just for the phone without any plan very easy. Make sure you already have autofill name, address, email ect. saved. First go to plan, BYOP and add the $15 plan first and proceed to cart and stop there, now open new tab and choose iphone 12 hit continue to add to cart, next page is the $40/$60 plan page stop here and go back to first tab, click on the name column and chose your name for autofill, when that's done your cart will auto replace the $15 plan with just the iphone 12 with no plan, now you can check out with paypal or however you want. Now sit and wait for shipping confirmation or cancelation email. I've confirm is still working before I post this.
anything from your end regarding your order?

Not yet, I don't think they process on weekend.
