I don't think this is a great deal when the iphone 11 can be had for as low as $60 from Metro PCS, that's with 1 month service included and you wait 6 months instead of 12 for unlocking.

I was able to add the phone and $15 plan by going to phone buy page selecting color and clicking check availability. Then before choosing a plan open new tab and BYOP (https://my.boostmobile.com/shop/buy/plans/) with $15 plan and click Choose Plan. Total (before tax) in cart $214.99.

Thanks, I had intended to mean the 3rd party carrier unlock sims you can buy online. Would one of those work in this phone?

I have the pixel 7 phone arrived yesterday and next to me. It 's brand new and unlocked. I tried with mint mobile and Xfinity mobile cards to test and it works on both carriers.

This iPhone 12 is nice but being lock for 12 months is not something I like. I ordered anyway. Got it today and it's brand new. I inserted my mint mobile card and it said carrier is not supported.

I went to Lyca mobile site and key in the IMEI number of this iPhone; Oh to my surprise it said the phone is compatible... So I put the phone aside and wait till my Lyca mobile free 1 month card comes and see if I can unlock it that way. Keep my fingers cross !!

Even if Lyca IMEI check says your iPhone 12 is compatible, but it does not mean it will work.
Why? Because this iPhone 12 you just bought is LOCKED to Boost.
It will work with Lyca only AFTER your phone is unlocked by Boost.

Anyone one the fence about getting this deal, may want to reconsider. You may be fine if you stay with their network but getting simple answers from their support prior to getting my phone made me want to abandon ship. I have called them on three different occasions/days, and their systems are always "having issues" and not able to assist. So I tried to cancel and return my phone, and they are playing games trying to get me to go beyond the 7 day return period, keep stating that I need to, "call back tomorrow" as, "their system for processing returns and cancelations, are down." Opened a ticket with PayPal, I'll get my money back, no doubt, but need to mess with this issue. Have fun.

Yes Boost support sucks we know but if you're just going to pay your bill straightforward each month you'll be fine as long as you never have to contact their CS

don't forgot boost system was almost completely offline for 3 weeks earlier this month / end of feb and you couldn't do anything

Just received my $199 phone. It came with sim for some reasons even though I didn't order any plan. Checked account and order is not in there. Popped in the Boost sim from the previous Xr deal and it works fine. Will put this in the drawer and hopefully it'll be automatically unlocked in a year.
