Don't make the mistake in thinking they will fix their drivers soon, the shit should have been finished before release.
Just a reminder, do not buy Nvidia RTX3000 series card and AMD RX6000 series card in open box condition, only buy the new RTX4000 series such as RTX4090, 4080 and 4070Ti. 7900XTX reference card may have temperature issues in open box, so better avoid it, non reference card has no problem.

Some people probably just dont wanna support Nvidia, ive had Nvidia cards since the 90's and they used to be a fair price/performance for what your paying but lately it seems that Nvidia's CEO has gotten really money hungry after the crypto mining boom money dried up (maybe the guy wants to start a new leather jacket collection). The extra features that you speak of like Ray Tracing are really just a gimmick because if you enable ray tracing is slows down performance dramatically and there arent that many games that support that feature yet.

Anyway, it's a large card, and my experience is, well, mixed.
Red Dragon 5700XT -- no audio output when using HDMI (a well known "traditional" problem for AMD)
XFX 6900XT -- good looking, good performance, never had any problem
XFX 7900XTX -- not as good looking as the 6900XT, also a little hotter. Bottom line is, it works well.
However, lately I had problem for my PC (5900X + 7900XTX) to post, and it (5900X + 6900XT) worked flawlessly before. I'm just telling myself: this is so AMD...

What your saying doesnt make any sense when you consider that a 7900 XTX is still like $650-$800 cheaper than an RTX 4090 for only about 22% less performance

id understand your point if I was paying more money for less performance because of a brand name but in this case its the reverse situation.
