The soundtrack is included in.ogg format (look for the subfolder after the games are installed) except for MK2 which used a MIDI soundtrack (I suppose you could play those too though they weren't straight up .midi files).

i wonder why they stop digitizing real people. cant stand the 3d cartoonish MK these days.
Because it's a ton of tedious work and graphical technology has pushed forward enough that there's no need to do that anymore.
Also, when has MK ever not been cartoonish? Was it all the fatalities like when mileena sucks scorpion down through her tiny mouth and spits out 8 of his femurs? Or when lui kang drops a mkII arcade machine on your head? Yea that sounds like gritty reality

That said, the DOS versions of MK1 and 3 are spot on with only a few extremely minor differences. They play virtually identical to the arcades.
MK2 is not quite as close... it's still a mostly faithful port, but the music is nowhere near the quality of the other two games here.
