Have a few pairs, along with sketches, and even a similar Ariat version. I'm in Texas, and they are kind of the new Crocs. For a while, you saw everyone wearing Crocs for their comfort and convenience, and then you saw the copies show up.

I've been to small local festivals, and there is a Hey Dude trailer that is selling them quickly. People are walking out with 2 or 3 pairs, at near msrp.

They are pretty comfortable and easy on the feet. They go great with shorts and boat shoes outfit type outfits.

There is a large selection of colors and styles, and are pretty durable.

When I get home from work, I change out of my work clothes and put on my Dudes. Quick run to the store, I wear my Dudes.

Agree, super comfortable shoes that are air light. They offer little support but I use them in the summer as a replacement for flip-flops that off zero support. These shoes are so soft I bought like 3 pairs.

I own two pairs of Hey Dudes and one pair of the Sketchers (or as I call them, Yo Bros). The Sketchers are more comfortable to me but a little tighter fit. The Dudes are hit and miss on comfort depending on how the insole aligns with your arch. On one pair of mine they align pretty well, on the other they cut into my arch just a little bit. Not enough for me to eschew them for the other pair if the color is a better match, but there is a difference. And when I slide off the Sketchers, the insoles almost never attach to my feet and slip out. Half the time I slip out of the Dudes I have to tuck the inserts back in with my toe. Still like them, though.

The root cause of that problem will vary from person to person. Some people need better arch support, some people need less. These shoes are not considered a therapeutic shoe for that condition. Though it might be beneficial for some people in some cases.
