At this point I don't mind waiting a bit longer for a better sale or a slimmer version of the console. Basically lost the urge to buy this thing after how difficult they made it at first.

No, target, sams club, costco all have them in stock also. Pretty sure almost all retailers have them now

Maybe, could also be that they are caught up on production. This is already 2 year old hardware because of the supply chain problems, so paying nearly full price for something that is already a third of the way through its life.

Meh. I hated the last God of War game and now that Microsoft has bought Zenimax and is in the process of buying Blizzard Activision the Playstation is looking less and less great.

Doesn't help that you can get an Xbox Series S (the underpowered one) for as little as $150 and get the Microsoft Game Pass subscription service for about $30/year.

If they'd had a deal like this available at this time last year I probably would have bought one just to play my PS4 & PS3 games but at this point the only upcoming game I'm hyped for is Starfield and that's an Xbox exclusive.

Last of us and uncharted series I live, so probably won't buy a ps5 until new games come out. although I've yet to finish last of us part 2 or the uncharted games on my ps4 pro. also especially now since mlb the show is on multiple consoles and not only exclusive to Sony.
