Slim is going to require an additional purchase to have a disc drive. Having the drive saves a lot of cash in the long run.

I've read a ton of articles that are pointing toward a disc drive for the slim. I really hope that isn't true. I just want a slim version with disc drive of the monstrosity Sony is selling now.

Good deal if you want one now.

I think if you have an AMEX card, it's still better to go the Dell route and pick up this same package + an extra controller for 589 since AMEX has a $120 off offer right now. That brings the pricing down to $469 pretax and that includes a 2nd controller.

agreed....and I dont even game that often but there just is not that many great next gen games...and so many remakes are coming out because...well...I guess they're lazy and lack imagination now...there are other reasons...but I cant bring them up here...lets just say its the same reasons Hollywood movies are not doing well Peace
