False information.
The credit card insurance policy requires the entire cost should be paid by the card. Split payment disqualifies the insurance.

Looks many $500 southwest gift cards are being listed on some 2nd hand site for $455 to $465. I guess those people bought their cards at Sams. Wonder how much they make by doing this.

Buy gift card from second hand is very risky , unless you intent to use it immediately

the gift cards don't expire. however, if you used partiial amount from the gift card to pay for a flight, and changed your mind or flight got canceled, you can only get the credit back as a voucher, which expires in a year. i booked a $2000 trip all with the gift cards on one of my trip to save about 10% than if i had paid with cash/credit card. the trip was canceled and i had to find a way to use up the $2000 within a year, which i couldn't find a place and time to go... it was really a headache when this situation happened. i wish i had paid with credit card so i could get a full refund back to my credit card. so be careful.

SWA credits for flight cancellations never expire now. I think they changed the policy around July last year. https://www.southwest.com/help/ch...ght-credit
