This has been discussed in some All-Clad deal threads over the past 6 months but I had not seen a dedicated post explaining the deal, and the deadline is approaching to submit a claim.

BACKGROUND

From 2015 - 2022, All-Clad advertised its D3, D5, and LTD pans as dishwasher safe. In fact, if you put these pans in the dishwasher with harsh detergents, over time the detergents can slowly eat away at the exposed middle aluminum layer. The result is that the edges of your pan lose their smooth finish.

THE SETTLEMENT

If you purchased any of these lines between 1/1/2015 and 7/29/2022, you may claim a settlement from All-Clad.
Even if you didn't receive a notice in the mail, or have your receipt, you may submit a claim here [multi-plycookwaresettlement.com].
Your choices are:
  1. If you have pieces that have developed "sharp edges," you have 3 choices to trade them in:
    1. All-Clad will replace those pieces and provide a payment of $75. If you purchased the (now discontinued) LTD line, they will be replaced with D3 pieces.
      OR
    2. You may opt instead to receive a free "dishwasher safe" cookware set -- either the Hard Anodized (HA1) 5-piece fry-pan set [all-clad.com] or the Essentials Hard Anodized Nonstick 13-piece cookware set [all-clad.com]. Both sets are aluminum pans with nonstick coatings. They are not the quality of D3 or D5 pans, and I wouldn't recommend the dishwasher for these, either. Also note that the Essentials line is not induction compatible.
      OR
    3. You may opt instead to receive a future purchase credit of 50% off purchases up to a total purchase of $1,200 (i.e., $600 value) for any products on All-Clad's website.
  2. If you've discarded your pieces, or if they have not developed "sharp edges," then you can provide a proof of purchase (such as order confirmation or credit card receipt) to receive a future purchase credit of 35% off purchases up to a total purchase of $750 (i.e., $262 value) for any products on All-Clad's website.
UPDATE: You must submit a separate claim form for each piece in your collection that you want to return or replace. It's a short online claim form, so this is easy.

The deadline to submit your claim is April 28, 2023
Note re timing: The original claim form states that claims will be reviewed and validated on a continuing, rolling basis. All Claim Forms will beprocessed after the ClaimsDeadline. Based on the original timeline, we can anticipate that vouchers will be sent out starting in May/June, and replacement Cookware could be sent out starting in August.

Y'all don't have much time value if you are wasting it on this.

So, I have legitimate pieces with sharp edges, due to someone in the household putting them in the dishwasher. The edges are sharp, I no longer use them, so this is for me. I don't mind waiting for a new one.

When I got married like 6 years ago we replaced our entire pots and pans with all clad and splurged on some extras. Do you think I need to submit like 30 claims?

I sure hope not. I submitted one claim. I may be wrong, but as I read it, I think you can replace as many pans as you own, but you get one $75 payment.
Correction: If you purchased more than one product for which you would like to submit a claim, please submit one claim form for each product purchased. The good news: This is easy and I think you get $2,250 instead of $75.

All Clad likely wants to preserve their name - they don't want you to resell your "damaged" pan to someone else who might get issues with it in the future. Plus the original serves as proof so not just anyone can get a free set of cookware from All Clad.
I'll be using it for smacking intruders on the head. Sharp edges as a bonus.

I remember when I bought my copper core set people on here told me I wasted my money and should have bought 1 of the D lines. LOL just let people enjoy things.

Slickest deal of all is to leave the pots, pans, and prep knives out of the dishwasher. I don't have any of the affected lines, but none of my nice stuff goes into the dishwasher because they are notorious for being tough on those things.

If you fill out the no-letter option (my D5s are from TJ Maxx) the form says "If you purchased more than one product for which you would like to submit a claim, please submit one claim form for each product purchased." If you purchased 30 (out of channel) products then I'd interpret you'd need 30 forms, but if you bought from All-Clad directly I suppose they already know.

I have two D5 pans that are going back. One of them is nonstick and quite sharp - how would any multilayer All-Clad pan not have exposed edges, nonstick or otherwise? The base is unfinished, as is the rim; plenty of attack surface in a dishwasher. Not sure I understand how that discussion got so far.

I have some HA1 and like it well enough, but I'm not tempted by the three-pan set. I have one Essentials - the steamer pot - and it is 'good enough', but I'm not too confident about the longevity. The Essentials set is a great mix though - almost everything I use in the kitchen - and I considered getting it for my son and holding it until he gets his own house.

From the product details:

Material: Three-ply bonded design with aluminum center core clad with stainless steel (so D3)

Dishwasher safe (not so much)
I just wanted to know if this claim is only applicable to All-Clad "stainless steel" products?
I purchased ALL-CLAD Hard Anodized 11" Square Griddle which is a Non-stick Griddle and wondering if my purchase is eligible ?

Here's the item I purchased from Macys

OK thank you -- that sucks if we got it wrong. I just submitted a 2nd claim using the exact same information as my first claim, and didn't get any duplicate error messages, so it certainly doesn't hurt to submit more claims to be safe. Thank you. It sucks that this information is NOT on the online claim form. I will update the OP.

The up side: If it's a separate claim for each piece you replace, then does this mean you get $75 for each piece you replace?

Update in case you aren't following the thread. I gave the wrong advice previously. You need to submit 30 claims, but it's easy:

If you purchased more than one product for which you would like to submit a claim, please submit one claim form for each product purchased.

What's the difference between option 1.3 and option 2? Seems like it's the same thing, since you're not sending anything in, but option 2 offers less of a percentage discount?

Use option 2 if you have a receipt but don't have the pan anymore, or if you don't want to send in your pan.
