I don't have dogs but was curious about your response. After a search on the Google machine, I found several sites that state lentil flour is perfectly safe for dogs and is commonly used in dog foods/snacks. Can you provide your source?
This is a common misconception. Lentils are perfectly safe as a snack. They just can't be the "primary" protein. And part of a balanced diet

Cheapo dog food companies used to use lentil to fill out protein requirements in dog food instead of animal proteins. https://iloveveterinary.com/blog/...stion/amp/

Yum, they're "Human Grade" too. JK, I'll let my dogs be the judge...ordered the Pumpkin & Chia Seed.

Are chia seeds good for dog's teeth? Can't they get caught between them and like stuck since they don't floss? Might cause decay risk.

I don't know, but will pass just in case.

To cause cavities, bacteria have to have fermentable carbohydrates. Chia seeds are almost totally devoid of these fermentable carbohydrates. They are almost entirely fat (which inhibits caries), protein, and fiber, so they would not have any strong association with decay.

Pumpkin and Chia seed doesn't even sound appealing to me as barely human grade.

I know, right? Most dog owners I know feed their pets better than they feed themselves.

I was just at the grocery store and saw flank steak for $4.99/lbs. Also "human grade", dogs love it, and it's packed with animal proteins.

Why were you reading a dog treat post if you don't have dogs? #HumanGrade
