Also the item I received was recertified from a company called Computerland and the 90 day warranty is through their company. Safe to say Woot accepted the return of the item for a full discount and they even offered $200 additional discount if I wanted to keep the item but I felt duped and just returned it.
All in all, I would say this is still a good deal for a good condition laptop but don't expect to get a new item!

These devices are good performers but it should be a red flag if you can't get.service by the manufacturer in the event of a problem.

I've probably saved thousands over the years which just means I can purchase more. Woot, ebay, open-box, etc..
Computers are pretty long-lasting things. I've had one cheap PC motherboard go out on me, one SSD and several old, spinning disks. Easy fixes.
Never had a macbook die on me and I own most of the generations from Core2Duo to Apple silicon.
That said, if you don't need the power of the 16", the 14" (or 13") are much lighter and easier to carry around while still handling everything fine.
Still some stock at the Chicago store.
