For the money, Ryobi is the best deal (assuming you want a minimum quality such that it can do most things and won't break too quickly). Ridgid is mid-tier - sales that are almost as good as Ryobi sales (albeit less frequent), and better quailty. Dewalt is better quality and more expensive, but good sales are common. Milwaukee is better yet (in my opinion), but priced like Dewalt when Dewalt is not on sale and truly good sales are less common on Milwaukee (well except for on M12 - the 12 volt stuff has lots of good sales, but the power/quality is more like Ridgid, not as good as M18).
