Franchises shouldn't be allowed to opt out of advertised deals. Getting the benefits of the advertising but not offering the deal seems wrong.

My local subway operator says those deals are crushing him. Corporate doesn't care because they sell him the ingredients and basically give them away at cost leaving him just the chips and drinks for profit.

Not when your store is getting clobbered by the promotional offers and they aren't profitable. The company has a duty to make sure that franchises are able to operate sustainable. Putting out promotional offers that make the franchise owners unprofitable or not profitable enough is not what they signed up for.

Anyone knows an easy way to find locations with grilled chicken? They were available in IL when I still lived there a few years ago, but I haven't been able to find it a few places I tried in central OH.

Seconding this. Obviously YMMV, but if you haven't tried your local supermarket's fried chicken, you might want to give it a try, or at least see what the reviews say. A lot of supermarkets have amazing fried chicken, and it's usually cheap.

In the Chicagoland area we head to "da Jewels" for the fried chicken, it's great. $8/8pc, $7 on Mondays.
