Got one and it just wasn't good. Didn't taste like it used to. Even worse the next day which was never the case before.

Publix fried chicken is soooooo much better and the same price.

Every once in a while, they slip in the occasional crow or raven. You must have got the prize.

That's about the price you'd pay for a raw chicken, plus the gas to cook it and the seasons you put on it, so it works out the same?
not for me I usually have groceries I paid for anyway. Chicken is often on sale for like $2 a pound by me and it literally takes 5 mins to put in the oven. Byt hey, that's just me.

Seconding this. Obviously YMMV, but if you haven't tried your local supermarket's fried chicken, you might want to give it a try, or at least see what the reviews say. A lot of supermarkets have amazing fried chicken, and it's usually cheap.

In the Chicagoland area we head to "da Jewels" for the fried chicken, it's great. $8/8pc, $7 on Mondays.
Mine is not great lol, maybe I should try Safeway

Sure it is. Using your math....$2 a pound with an average 5 pound chicken you are already at the KFC price. You are not frying it either. That takes a lot more than 5 minutes and you got a huge mess to clean.

Not sure how you think you are right but doubt you can be convinced otherwise.

Exactly. Bait & switch, predatory tactics to fool us all into paying extra to clog our arteries.

Nah. Franchises should get to choose. Things like the BOGO subway deals probably run at a wash or loss for them and they literally run them every month for like the last 1-2 years. Franchises need to be profitable and they should have the right to be able to determine that. Corporate in most franchises don't really give a shit about profitability as they usually take their flat % on revenue, whether those sales came at a loss or not.

Also, I doubt their really gaining anything from the "advertising" of this deal, once you factor in the disappointment that anyone who sees this deal gets after seeing their store isn't participating. If anything,it's probably a net loss in traffic benefits and a lasting stigma from those customers thinking that that store is overpriced and doesn't do sales. Do you think you personally have a better outlook on a store where you see this advertisement and then realize they aren't participating? If not you, who are these customers that they are benefitting from seeing this promo and coming out with a positive outlook after learning their store is not participating? Makes no sense buddy

You haven't had Publix fried chicken then. Same price as this and easily as good or better.
There is on Publix here.

What??? Costco rotti chickens are much bigger, juicer, fresher, cheaper than any of the ones at other grocery stores! You might find chickens with different seasoning options at other stores but they're always more expensive, smaller and sad looking, like they came out of the oven long ago. Even a 2 day old Costco chicken in a fridge looks better than most other store ones.

Thanks OP. Was able to get in on the deal here in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, it only reminded me why I stopped going there years ago.
