This freaking chicken is not even edible. The chicken was close to raw and tough, the crispy part tasted more like uncooked flour. Good luck

1991, I crossed from Tijuana into San Ysidro and there's Churchs Chicken a few blocks away. $2.99 for 8 pieces.

People could also buy a house, car, send their multiple kids to college, vacation every year, etc on one income.
In 1989 White Castle paid $7.25hr and a sign up bonus for burger flippers. It's now 34 years later and $7.25 is the federal minimum wage.
How many people can survive on the same pay they made 30+ years ago, let alone buy a home, feed/clothe/educate children, do any type of travel, pay for healthcare etc.

Things are supposed to improve each generation 😞

Just had kfc today bc of this deal. Man I don't remember being this bad. Popeyes, Jellibee, churches and even local publix fried chicken is way better

It really depends on where you go. The "trick" is to go to the supermarket where it's popular...the more popular it is, the more they cook, the fresher it is...and then it becomes more popular...and so on. I realize there isn't a supermarket like this everywhere, but it's at least worth checking out. At my local Jewels there's a line for the fried chicken anytime between about 10:30am and 6:30pm. You're definitely getting chicken fried fresh anytime in that time span.

Not to mention the recent avian flu which caused millions of chickens to be slaughtered without going into the food chain. It's what caused egg prices to increase astronomically.
