My local subway operator says those deals are crushing him. Corporate doesn't care because they sell him the ingredients and basically give them away at cost leaving him just the chips and drinks for profit.
That's so strange, I can't find a subway that will take a coupon in paper or digital form. I'm thinking the owner can choose to accept them or not. It's just like gas stations, ONLY quiktrip or racetrack will accept them.

Are the chicken imported from China?
You know, this is a good question--a lot of our food is coming from there. I saw a documentary on dog food how some plastic laden 'source products' from china caused many pet deaths. There's no ethics there, just make money however you can, and sadly I can see that in the fast food industry as well. EEK!

Probably buy it. When our kid worked at McDonald's the owner would sell us a bag of fry's at cost.
any items on the menu. then it makes sense. but selling some special pre mixed ingredients? i wonder how they reported that transaction for their business.

Boy was I disappointed in this. I grew up with KFC and although the taste was right on, the size of the pieces was laughable and I felt like a giant when I picked up the bucket. In the past, a bucket would mean leftovers for the next day, this time we finished it in one meal.
any people laughed at me when i said the buckets werent enough for us.

It's pretty easy if you're just removing a supply item that was an expense earlier. If you're selling it at cost it's basically a negative expense zeroing out that particular purchase like it never happened. No different than if the purchaser could have gone to the same KFC source and bought it themselves.

Yes and Popeyes doesn't cut a chicken into 10 pieces.

when was your last time buying publix chicken? they arent $10 for 8 piece anymore.
Publix prices for their chicken and sandwiches have gone up considerably. The weekly special footlong used to be $5.99 or $6.99. Now they are $7.99 or $8.99 specials and their 20 piece chicken wings are over $15 normal price.

Go into the menu and look at the deals because I thought the same thing. It only shows like 4 items before you enter the menu on mine
