I wish I went with this option rather than my Greenworks mower. Oh well!

Solid lawn mower. I have no regrets purchasing, but do feel like a gas powered one might mulch a little better? It's generally pretty light and I use it as sled push/pulls while lawn mowing to save a little battery.

Appears to not come with an OEM battery from the description. Am I reading that right?

It's the word "compatible" on the battery description....

No, it comes with a 5.0 Ah battery. It's just saying that the battery is compatible with the other Ego 56v tools.

$309 is a good price for the kit, but be aware that it only comes with a 1 year warranty. The normal warranty is 5 years for the mower and 3 years for the battery.

If you go to their "about us" page, they literally copied the about us page of Acme Tools word-for-word. They even left "Acme Tools" in some sections and forgot to change it to NB Tools Mall.

Total scam.
not only that, once you pay, these scammers send a package to another address in your same zip code. And when you try a charge back they will send the tracking number to your CC company claiming the order was fulfilled.
In the end they have your money and you are out of the mower.

I feel like this is a better deal. Newer model, self propelled, dual blade.

I wouldn't waste my money on this unless I had a landing strip lawn.

Netted $231.20 + tax, no shipping with Paypal's Honey plugin and $10 off. That's before the $100 county resident electric mower rebate here in Ohio (making this $131.20 + tax for me).

Promo code "TOOLGUYD" for $10 discount at checkout.

Honey (Paypal Chrome plugin) notified me of the $10 promo code above. It also offered a $61.80 Honey cashback bonus for checkout within 5 hours. Paypal usually sends the cashback at around 30 days (end of return period). Converts to Paypal cash funds with a click. Not sure if Honey promos apply to everyone exactly same so this part *may* be YMMV. Make sure that Honey pops up offering the bonus rebate before checkout and you activate, and you use Paypal for the checkout process and stay within the same browser/cookie session.

2% cashback credit card via Paypal. So that's another $6 off.

Make sure you buy a high lift blade ~$24 for these Egos. The stock blades on these don't mulch very well and tend to leave a strip of uncut grass. There's also a decent number of aftermarket batteries that cost less than half of OEM batteries. The steel deck version is better but harder to find a good deal on those.

That happened to me once (I sort knew it was prob a scam) and I will tell you UPS was totally not helpful (they would not give me the address). But in their scammary the item I was ordering was 12 lb and the BOL said 2lb so it was obvious that it was a misrepresentation and the CC company took care if it right away. They always make some mistake, so you need to do a little research. I also have a camera in my front and the time they delivery there was no UPS driver. Also another time they tried to scam I just stopped my UPS driver (I know him) he scanned it right there and told me the address so I used that.

In any case it depends upon how much you want to push, for me anytime someone tries to scam me I will spend the time to stick it to them. For any sketch company I use Amex because they just simply take care of it.

Be aware these used to come w/ 7.5 Ah batteries so be prepared to buy at least another if you plan on hitting a decent sized lawn. My lawn in fescue/KBG (NE) and I have about 1/4 acre and on a dry day a 7.5 can handle it, but if wet I need to go into a second battery. So just saying a 5 Ah isn't going to get you very far in Northern climate grasses. Ego batteries are super expensive so the 1 year warranty could be a real issue as I had two batteries die. Granted they were older generation ones but at $400+ that is a serious risk. I suppose you can just buy another package and flip it.

On those two points (5 Ah battery) and one year warranty, you are better off on fanduel.

beware that one battery might not be enough if you have 1/3 lawn. I would go for this one:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/EGO-POWE...1003130698
at least it comes with 3 years warranty. Ego's battery is expensive.
