Purchase of international or roaming credit required to enable additional features (like international talk to countries not listed). No national roaming (voice, text and data not available in off-net areas – see coverage map for details). For non-commercial, personal use only. Service may be suspended/terminated if used in violation of Acceptable Use Policy. SIM and assigned number expire after 60 days of non-use. Offer terms at time of plan activation apply, regardless of purchase date. Plans, rates & services are subject to change without notice and are not available in all locations or for all phones.

scam company that either doesn't provide you with plan activation key (so you have to buy another plan at full price) or hold your number hostage to force you into buying additional services

check out their BBB complaints with 1.27 / 5 rating [bbb.org]

Yes. I have used privacy card to avoid any surprise charges.
Lyca is a T-Mobile MVNO, so that's the bands/devices you want compatibility with.
Agree. This is more for somebody who is looking for free trials or cheap 3months service with good amount of data.

Discount applies to initial three 30-day offer periods contingent on continued enrollment in auto-renewal. What does this mean? Must sign up for auto renewal? Then cancel before 30 days?

Can anyone with Lyca in the US confirm that hotspot/tethering works and does not have speed throttled?

That's right if all you are looking for free 30 days of service. Better to use privacy card and pause the card payment so you don't have to remember the clock ticking.
