It is a decent laptop but man it looks so boring.

Just for you to know:
1. The screen has 99% sRGB coverage but very average brightness of a little over 300 nits. Not usable outdoors.
2. The RAM is soldered but 16 gigs is a lot more that you would need for an ultralight
3. The hinges are usually ok on these models but it will not feel good.
I snagged it at $384, and it has been a great laptop for me.

Screen on full brightness is too bright IMHO, but I haven't tried it outside. Though we have a south facing bank of windows in our living room and I had no issues using it sitting in full sun at half brightness.

The thing that could be an issue for some is if you don't drop the voltage down, the fans run pretty damn loud quite a bit.

After setting power settings to 50%, it is really quiet. I do like that if I need the full performance of the processor it is a quick power profile away.

Get 10+ hours of run time frequently with the lower power settings and half screen brightness.
Really wish deal posters would put (Refurbished) at the beginning of the title. Would save many of us time, effort and headaches by not clicking the deal just to see that info.

Just sayin...

Traditional 16:9 aspect ratio, too. Very decent screen here, but one you use a 16:10 13-14" laptop, it's hard to go back.

This has also gone down to $384, I believe, with coupons in the last few months. Under $400 is an excellent deal for this, IMHO.

Who uses a laptop outdoors though?

I got this a while back for around $400. Nice and powerful for the price point. Screen is great as well. Only thing that sucks is the trackpad. The left click for me is "squishy" and not a nice solid click.

I bought this laptop a couple of days ago for my wife, yesterday I had a possibility to configure it.
Condition like new! Battery wear-out is only 0.6%. Build quality is okay, don't expect MacBook or metal chassis.
Very light but still very efficient, good battery, and EVO standard.
It's really hard to find anything better in that price range.

Fair observation. I suppose most don't really carry it for field work.

Nice! I just bought it today for my mom. Hopefully it doesn't give any problems freezing/lagging. I've had such a bad experience with that for laptops I don't even know why, it's like a fresh windows install and most of them already start lagging just trying to open up edge to download chrome LOL.

Got this two months ago for $414. Looked almost new but the screen was randomly blanking out. It had a two yr allstate warranty but I returned it due to the screen issue. Decent laptop otherwise
