I got off a chat with a csr and they indicated the phone is locked, that the service needs to be active for 90 days before they unlock it, I haven't opened the phone yet to verify, but will post an update if the phone is in fact locked or unlocked out of box.
It literally says on the website Unlocked: Yes. The only thing it won't have is the mmwave for verizon, but that's the fault of Google unlocked 7, not Mint. So it should be exactly the same.

That's what I saw too, maybe the CSR didn't know any better 🤷

Can I wait until 1 year since I buy this deal to activate the sim card? By the way I can get a new number too right.

Is this phone unlocked bootloader and unlocked to other carriers?
Yes, got one and installed CalyxOS, no problem. Easy to go back to stock or another ROM, too.

You can certainly buy the phone to use with your current number, but you won't be able to add the extra months from the plan to your current account.

Uh oh. Trying to get one for my wife too now I get this email instead of a confirmation email. Are they tracking down on the same address if you buy more than one?

Thanks for your order. We're giving it a good once-over and should have an update sent your way soon. If you think we've made a mistake, call us at 1-855-826-9723.

Quick question -- it requires you to port in your number. Has anyone had problems with porting out when they want to leave Mint?
