Would I be able to sell the sim and and plan to someone? Need the phone and not the plan, or is it tied to a phone somehow. I have number to port in, wonder what the 12 month value resale is.
Sure, you can do something with the plan (IOW, it's not tied to device). I bought one from a fellow SDer (who shall remain anonymous) and received it today. Just don't list it on eBay or the like nor expect anything close to retail plan pricing for it. Without giving exact details of our transaction, I suggest letting the community here make you an offer (for something like half off) to entice cheapskates like myself.

Besides, it's the brotherly thing to do :-)

While I haven't activated/ported yet, I expect no issues. Waiting a week or so to use up more of my existing Red Pocket plan before the deed.

Deal seemed dead for the last week and I wanted the plan prior to my RP renewal in 2 weeks.

Now that I can actually get the deal, I may just pawn off one of the plans myself.

Decisions decisions....

EDIT - Finally got one. Little late but one cannot lose $ on this. Worst case can flip the phone to recover the entire cost.

At least I have a backup plan should something go awry with the plan/SIM I already have.

where does it ask for port in? I see 'place order' without any port in requirements anywhere
You don't port in until you activate the plan. Port-in is only required for the plan, not the phone or the ordering process.

Gang:

I know several may not don't know this, but just about every one of your questions have been asked and answered in the original thread. I'm uncertain why a 2nd thread on this deal has been opened, but what's done is done. Lol. Smilie

Here's the first thread:
https://slickdeals.net/f/16487416-mint-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-7-unlocked-smartphone-12-month-4gb-plan-289-recovery-fee-port-in-required-free-s-h

To answer some frequently-asked questions:

1 - The phone is fully unlocked. It can be used on ANY carrier on ANY network in the US. GSM and CDMA both work.
2 - The deal comes with a total 12 months Mint service at 4GB/month when you port-in a number. 6 paid-for months and 6 free months. [updated]
3 - Port-in is required to activate on Mint. [updated]
4 - You do NOT have to activate on Mint. You get an activation key card with the phone which you can use or not use as you wish. You can even resell the service on PayPal or go to the original thread and find someone looking to get Mint service.
5 - Since the phone is unlocked, you can put your own SIM in the phone or get a SIM from any US carrier you want and use the phone there.
6 - If you want to port in a number but don't have one to burn, you can get one via Google Voice for three bucks and about ten minutes of your time. See the original thread - the how-to is pinned at the top.

The phone is solid. I have one. I paid an extra $30 to upgrade to 10GB/mo and did the $3 Google Voice trick to port in a "new" number rather than use up one of my own.

Good luck.

I don't think you get the 6 months without porting in, which then automatically gives you the 12 months. You might be able to talk customer service into getting 6 months with a new number from Mint, but that's not the offered deal.

From the terms:
Quote :
New customers only. Port-in required. "6 months free" applied as a 50% discount on any 12-month plan at checkout. Requires purchase of eligible device and 12-month data plan.

Yes, the phone and plan are not tied together.

Looks like they've changed the deal in the past 10 days. If true, thanks for the update. I've modified my post.

I am more interested in the plan. If I select esim after my order is processed can I activate instantly. Or do I still need to wait for the phone to be delivered.

Dunno. Mine was a physical SIM which was delivered, with activation info, in the same package as the phone.

But if all you want is the service, I'm confident you'll find someone here who only wants the phone and who is looking to unload the service to help defray their costs.

I have a non-google number to port in. I will go directly to step 4.

Thanks for sharing! I think many others will find it useful if they are porting from google voice.

Quote from volyblmn :
1. Get a google voice number
2. Unlock the number
3. Set a PIN for the google voice number
4. Do the Mint Mobile setup and port the number in. Note that your Google Voice number is your account number, and the PIN is whatever you just set.

Any 7 pro deals?
Yeah same here, I'm not biting on the 7.

You could try the ongoing Amazon/Target/etc deal in this thread:
https://slickdeals.net/f/16522564-128gb-google-5g-unlocked-smartphone-various-colors-pixel-7-pro-749-pixel-7-449-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch

$749 for a 128GB Pixel 7 Pro

If a P7 Pro is definitely what you want, it's $150 off.

For the extra 6-month port-in deal, how long can I wait before missing out on the deal?

Oh, so if I don't port in a number, it's 6 months of service? I ordered the bundle as ESIM and want to activate the plan just to have another non-VOIP number for sites that need phone number verification.

I don't have a number to port since I want to use my other GSMT SIM as-is without porting.
You can always get a Google Voice number and unlock it for $3 and port in.

BTW for esim did you get any email regarding setting it up right after the order or did you have to wait for the phone to arrive.
