As my wife says this is the best worst game ever. It is a really fun game. However, it is not balanced well. You either get smoked by the game or you curb stomp the game. There never was a close game. Again though it is really fun if you are a fan of Harry Potter.

We've had tons of fun with it. It works well with younger or even less interested players because you work together as a team. We don't replay it a lot because it can take some time to get through but you can play some rounds and then come back later.

It might be the "same" deal but this Harry Potter game is not eligible at Amazon on the buy 1 get 1 50%.

Probably one of the best Harry Potter Game , and a very decent co-operative deck building game.
There are 7 box , which pretty much like a campaign , where after you beat box 1 , you open box 2 and add more stuff to your game, and it keeps building up to box 7 (which reference the book).

Surprisingly easy to introduce , since my wife Godmother (60+) yrs old were playing it with us because she like Harry potter.
But this game also has depth that my veteran board game group also likes it. (we beat 7 scenario with all expansion over several weeks)

The difficulties can be a bit RNG, but hey that makes the game fun. you don't always get to win.

At the time I made the reply it was, and I ordered it. The Harry Potter game, being the more expensive of my two selections, was $25.99 and my other game was discounted 50% with a "Multibuy Discount".

We have it, and really enjoyed it. As others have said, it can be really uneven. There are, however, some house rules floating around out there that help to address these issues. It's been long enough I can't tell you directly what they were, but if you search you'll find forums that discuss the modifications.

Thematically it's great. Advancing through the different levels and having new stuff to open up and add to the game adds to replayability. Just recognize the difficulty of each round is going to be significantly determined by chance, from basically unwinnable (although the house rules help) to child's play. But allowing for that we still always had fun.

If you don't like cooperative games, though, or sometimes getting an unwinnable round would make you dislike something, though, I'd stay away.
