Nice find for the 4gb ram version. Here's hoping the 6gb version gets a similar price drop soon

Man I researched the crap out of this and found out that it used to work with playstation controllers, but the Lenovo update to the current version of Android OS broke button mapping. And sadly, the same goes for the ds4 controller you ordered.

Don't waste your time with Lenovo tech support, they're as useless in this scenario as telling your grandmother how the X button does what the Square button is supposed to and L1 doesn't work at all.

I ended up just using an Xbox controller, assuming that doesn't work for playstation remote play, but who knows.

Otherwise, tablet is awesome.

One key thing for gamers, this has a micro SD card slot, and no matter what level speed writing/reading card you stick in it, it is bottlenecked by the actual reader on the tablet.

So for instance, downloading a GameCube ROM to internal storage and playing on dolphin emulator will net you a solid 60fps in just about anything.

Move that rom to the SD card, and you'll get frame rate drops and hiccups throughout the entire gameplay process. It wasn't as bad with something like paper Mario, but basically unplayable with anything more graphic demanding like NBA Street vol 2 or SSX3.

I've been seeing deals on this over the past year and I finally pulled the trigger. Gonna use it mainly for media consumption and not gaming, so I don't think the 4GB of RAM will be an issue. I did a lot of research, read and watched multiple reviews/comparisons to other tablets, and it seems like a damn good device for the money. Large 120Hz OLED screen that supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Very good JBL-tuned quad speakers with Atmos support, an SD slot, fully-specc'd USB-C port, solid battery life, lightweight aluminum chassis. Some of these features you'd only see in much more expensive, higher-end tablets.

It's also supposed to get Android 14 and 3 years of security updates, though it seems Lenovo hasn't been very good with following through with their promises. Still, this seems like a winner for 200 bucks. And if for some reason I don't like it, Walmart returns are painless.

This is the best value around and it is an amazing tablet. About updates, of course we will get them but will we get 3 or 6 or more or less updates each year....

Battery life is only ok, and no fast charging.... two things most people can live with. And technically 4GB is enough, even for games.... it is more about closing apps and tabs that you are no longer using.

Well. Now I want to go play ssx3 again.

Years ago there was a web browser that allowed you to change your location.... android 7 era.... I use to use it for Netflix.
As stated, I don't use it but with kiwi and the chromestore you can find many proxy extensions... you just need to do your research.... maybe search on youtube "proxy chrome extension" good luck.

lenovo sells a usb hub that has hdmi out.... Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 USB C Hub 3.0 Ports 4K HDMI VGA PD Charging Adapter

But what makes this tablet extra amazing is that you can use this tablet as a wireless second screen to a windows 10 or 11 or android 11 or higher machine.
Do you have instructions for how to use it as second monitor for windows 11? TIA.

Trying to see if this is a suitable for note taking. I take extensive note at work and hate having to carry around a thick paper note.

Also which pen works with this tablet?

There is a pen that is specific to this tablet. Don't know if it in stock.... anywhere.

It is called Lenovo Precision Pen 3..... not the two and it is pricey at $70. I have done no research to see if there are any 3rd party pens.

So I would say yes this would be a GREAT note taker.

I got mine in today and I really like it. I'm debating on selling my Galaxy tab S8 and getting another one of these. It's that good.

when will the 8gb mem one go on sale? 4gb ddr4 seems a bit on the weak side.

There isn't a 8 GB model sold in the US. There is a 6 GB model but I don't know when it will go on sale. From what I've read when it goes on sale it is around $280. I'm very impressed with this tablet even though it only has 4 gigs of RAM. The memory management is much better than the 4 GB version of my Amazon fire tablet.

oled and the kompanio 1300t single core geekbench at 773, quite respectable mid range.

only thing keeping it from a home run is 4gb ram.
