The marketing is that it can be recharged from an EV charger, not that it is meant to recharge your EV.
As of 2023, standalone battery storage qualifies under the IRA. You don't need this to be part of a solar system anymore to qualify.
J1772 @3.4kwh; takes ~1.7 to fill up at an EV station.

Hm, if no solar, besides buying the battery are there other requirements for the tax credit?

So you can take this to an EV charger like Tesla and charge it during power outages (assuming the charging station has power of course)?

I think they just mean you can quickly recharge it at EV stations, after using it for backup during power outages, or after using it up as a portable power bank (like while car camping).
Around me, you can get electricity at some EV stations much cheaper ($/kW) than if you were to charge it at home from your mains.

Very good deal on a good portable battery. Lots of competitors coming soon in this space though, at $0.5-0.7/Wh

Anyone using this for a tax credit is an idiot, however. And anyone who claims the home solar credit but uses it as a portable battery I hope gets audited
Why? It's probably enough to run your refrigerator and Internet overnight vs having no battery backup for your solar power during an outage.

Refrigerator and Internet ?
This can run a hell of a lot more than that overnight.

What is the wattage on the solar panel? It looks like the 400W but I don't see if it says anywhere. If that is the 400W, I'm pulling the trigger.
