The marketing is that it can be recharged from an EV charger, not that it is meant to recharge your EV.

As of 2023, standalone battery storage qualifies under the IRA. You don't need this to be part of a solar system anymore to qualify.

J1772 @3.4kwh; takes ~1.7 to fill up at an EV station.

What is the wattage on the solar panel? It looks like the 400W but I don't see if it says anywhere. If that is the 400W, I'm pulling the trigger.
costco has an odd website. the page changes constantly on what you can see, depending on my ipad browser. firefox on my ipad just now does show that it is a 400 watt panel. see screenshots below.

Honestly installed can mean on a shelf, and supplying any power, right? At least that is my interpretation of the summary provided by the IRS and DOE. Since I'm my own tax expert, lol. Just curious if I'm missing something. Seems like there is a very low bar with very vague requirements, which makes these units eligible as long as you provide some solar power to something.
based on this article, i'd agree. https://www.solar.com/learn/how-g...ax-credit/

So this is essentially a 300AH lipo4 battery with a charge controller and a huge inverter (that can do 30 amps)?

Much appreciated. Odd being an operative term. lol

I really wish Costco would step up their website and app. Blows me away they are so far behind Sam's in that department.

Why? It's probably enough to run your refrigerator and Internet overnight vs having no battery backup for your solar power during an outage.
It'll run a fridge and internet for days.

There are refurbished units on eBay from the Manufacturer:

EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3600Wh Power Station +160W Solar Panel Certified Refurbished [ebay.com] @ $2,229.00

EcoFlow DELTA Pro Generator Extra Battery 3600Wh Certified Refurbished [ebay.com] @ $1,849.00
Does anyone know if there's anything that may prohibit these refurb units from getting the federal tax credit?

So you can take this to an EV charger like Tesla and charge it during power outages (assuming the charging station has power of course)?
You have the right idea. But, take it to EV charging station that supports the J1772 adapter. (I think that's the standard for the adapter that comes in this deal.) ChargePoints, Volta, Blink, etc.

Tesla charging station, once opened to other EV, uses CCS. So you're unlikely to be able to charge up this EcoFlow there.

The question is, in practice...whether EV owners will give you a strange look if you got your Ecoflow taking up a charging stall versus charging up your car. LOL

It is an EPS, but not a UPS.

Meaning there is a 50ms switching time.

For most of my devices, this actually works okay. Nothing reboots when power switches between battery and utility. Except the downstream UPS beeps once (never too careful).

As for solar + AC, yes it works, but you could be getting AC at maximum prices if using TOU plans. (Add a separate device / timer to schedule it, or just don't worry).

The ground is not bonded though. If you know what this means, you can probably find a simple adapter for a solution. If not, I would recommend avoiding connecting metal framed appliances.
Regarding grounding. If its connected to the reliance transfer switch, would it shares home's ground?

This design makes lot more sense than the Delta pro. 10kWh is substantial for $4K

I know that you can buy a pro + extra battery and when you plug in the pro - both will be charged.
Is there anyway to buy 2 pros (to link for 220v) and have both charge (as I only have one outlet available)

Yes, but only when AC is active.

In other words, if power is lost, so is the ground.

There are several ways to solve this. But you might at least connect all large metal appliances via a "GFCI" adapter. That way any ground fault will trigger the circuit breaker on that adapter.

well....
i didn't know any EV charge station that's not DC super charging ( i mean, yes, level 2 is a thing but no one is going to wait at the EV charging station to get 30 mile an hour), and i would love to see if 20 folks starting charging EcoFlow Delta Pro EV Recharge Battery packs and occupied 20 Tesla EV charging station stalls for 2 hours at a time.

Lots of free level 2 chargers around me that do not have DC supercharging but they're capable of 7.2KW which this can't take full advantage of.

L2 charging stations are plentiful in urban California areas. I would prefer a car capable of V2H and L3 charging, but if I didn't have a capable car, this seems like a good green option or as a backup to a capable car.

Solar could probably satisfy most short outages, but if there was a prolonged power outage, I wouldn't mind taking the battery somewhere to get filled up. Diesel is obviously more convenient still for these rare scenarios.
