I am seeing they are like $50 a pair?! Even if the Bosch lasts "Up to 40% longer" than conventional blades, it would make it a terrible value. If one is going to pay like 4x more, it should last 400% longer. Not just "up to 40% longer". There is no way Bosch is lasting far longer to justify the high cost for me.
I can see some people just buying the Bosch wiper blade because of its design and maybe they think it looks cooler than the conventional frame design. I don't care about wiper design.

I just bought a Bosch for $7 two weeks ago when the deal was here. That would make it less than twice price as these
That was the cheaper lesser Bosch and only for the 26" size. The other sizes cost way more and we need a pair that are most likely different sizes. It wasn't the fancy expensive Bosch Icon with the "40% longer claim, patented beam design, special spoiler and its special hybrid rubber".
The Bosch Clear Advantage 26" is still on sale for $7 (retail price $15.65) right now on Amazon. I would buy the clear advantage because it is cheaper than the icon. When I used beam design wiper blade the last time, I didn't like it because I felt the regular metal frame held the wiper down way better. The beam was too flexible so it didn't stay as flush on the windshield.
I need a 26" driver side wiper and that is on sale for $7.10 but for the passenger side, I need a 17" wiper and that costs $13.29 so it would cost me $20.39 for the pair of Bosch Clear Advantage. Bosch clearly knows how to price these wipers because they know you won't just buy the 1 wiper.

I'm in the same boat brother, I bought the 26" and I need a 19" that I think wasn't offered I'm not sure. But I'm on the look out for a 19 and 12 from other brands is fine with me

The 19" costs $9.34 with subscribe and save which isn't too bad.
It would bother me to have 2 different brand wipers especially if they look different. Maybe I should give the Bosch Clear Advantage a try because I really don't see 26" and 17" deals around now. No rush for me now though so I can definitely wait for a good sale.

Hold on I think I came across one an hour ago let me dig it up

You can go 24". You can go a size up or down two inches. It doesn't have to match manufacturer specs. Just measure your windshield wipers from the end hook. You can also mix up the sizes with the left and right wiper arms as long as they're within the area of your front windshield.

This is not quite correct. It very much depends on how your wipers move and the curve of your windshield. On my Nissan the wiper motions overlap, so increasing the size will cause the wipers to intersect and get stuck or break. On my Miata you can go up an inch, but anymore and they will conflict. My van has a 28" blade and any more and it will not bend properly to follow the curve of the windshield.

Most of you are completely over thinking this. Regular cheap wipers last a good while with little to no problems. A little maintenance can go a long way in this debate as well. When you stop and get gas, get the window scrubber/squeegee and clean your windows. When done with the paper towel you use to wipe the squeegee, wipe your blades down as well. Helps to make them last longer and streak free longer as well

This is underrated. You're just standing there at the pump anyway (assuming it's a place with auto-shutoff, I'm sure there are -some- stations -somewhere- without it, and someone would point it out if I didn't mention it). It takes me less time to wipe down all the windows and wipers than to fill my tank, and I use a walker. If my disabled ass can do it, anyone can. Midwest road salt residue is brutal on all aspects of a vehicle, so I think I have a little extra incentive to clean the side windows.
