i saw it <$15 before midnight eastern time and as i was looking for additional stuff to hit $35 for free shipping.... after midnight the original seller went OOS and the next seller in line is asking what appears to be over msrp at $40

Um, my poor, tight wallet/stingy parents bought us Easter gifts back in the early 80s. This is definitely not new.
So the consumerism machine has just been doing it's work in many areas for longer. Nothing against gifts, but it gets a bit much when people feel they have to buy gifts for everything.
