Picked up two bags of super crema for $29.49. Not the best deal I ever gotten, but reasonable. Buying 8 bags would have saved a couple of dollars per bag, but that's close to a year worth of beans for me.

How do you keep them fresh for that long? Or do you go through them super quickly. I can't keep 2lbs fresh enough for a good pull through the whole bag. Usually I get through 2/3s of it before even the super crema isn't very.... Crema-y (even with super fine grinds and tightly packed)

i vacuum seal them in smaller batches for a week and they are stored in a coffee container to release the CO2. I recently read that it is better to freeze these vacuum sealed bags and thaw them in room temperature for a day before opening. Yes, these will go stale in about 2 weeks or so.

The quality definitely drops as the time goes by, I have to adjust the grinder as I work through the bag to pull decent shots. Was going to look into freezing beans next. Right now I just have several airtight-ish containers I put the beans into, and work through them.

any link? looks like the super crema is out of stock?
i did like and would recommend the medium roast version
that i paid the same $14 per kilo a few years back when it
came in a blue bag with the exact same name. it's so confusing how Lavazza changed the bag coloring.
Last time in Nov 22, this was on sale... it went for $24.05 for the same 2 pack after 15% discount. I bought it based on the reviews... still have some San Francisco Bay coffee beans to burn through. This will be next...

SF Bay beans are weird, I tried several types, including those labeled as light-medium roast. They were all dark and oily. Worked ok for the drip, but would not use for espresso.

I use Airscape double vacuum seal cans. They are expensive but wasting expensive beans is more expensive. Airscape Stainless Steel Coffee Canister | Food Storage Container | Patented Airtight Lid | Push Out Excess Air Preserve Food Freshness (Medium, Obsidian) https://a.co/d/1rGRLQd
Bought these on Black Friday. Not impressed. It said dark roast but it's medium at best. Very light and uneven color. Coffee tasted weak for me (and I'm actually not a fan of very dark roasts). Very disappointing for Lavazza, I liked all their coffees so far. Coincidentally, at the same time I ordered Melitta dark roast that turned out to be too dark. So now mixed with these beans 1:2 it produces at least drinkable coffee. But I can't wait to run out and won't be buying again. YMMV

I tend to agree with this review for any beans by Lavazza other than the Super Crema and Oro.
