Please don't make uneducated blanket comments. It clutters the forum and makes you look silly.

There's your problem. There's a significant difference between the qn85b and qn90b. Qn85b is not worth buying at any price and the qn90b is one of the best tvs out there.

I can confirm as I just ordered. Heres all I did

1. Added to cart (logged in to EPP)
2. Click Chat with Expert
3. Said that 2 other friends were getting for $1700 and they got a 10% loyalty discount, if they can match it I would place the order immediately
4. They checked with supervisor and said I qualified (I think cuz I have bought things in the past from samsung.com; I made sure to let him know that too)
5. Gave some of my info like name, email, phone, address, then a minute later got a link to a cart with the $1700.99 price

Total for me was $1831.97 with taxes (free shipping)

Also to note my CC didnt go thru at first due to instant fraud detection, so be prepared to call them lol.
Thanks again OP and slickdeals. I love this site!

I have a few year old 77" LG CX. Would this be an upgrade in picture quality? I'm looking for something bigger then 77" that won't break the bank

Blacks aren't as deep from what I read (oled has perfect blacks) but better in all other aspects. Oh and the LG has Dolby vision which samsungs don't support. This one is bigger, no burn in possibility, mini led is getting closer to oled, also brighter, and 4x hdmi 2.1 ports. Not sure if your model has the 2.1 or not I know it's been just the last couple of years for LG

I bought samsung q85b and returned it after few months. The video quality in a dark room is terrible even after adjusting the settings.

This is a downgrade. OLED is better than QLED. Especially LG OLEDs.

I have the 77 CX and 85 QN90A. Obviously my TV is the prior generation, but my experience may be helpful. Video quality on the CX will be technically superior. The blacks will be blacker, and the Samsung has the dirty screen effect if you're watching something with a white background and a lot of panning (like hockey). With that said, the image quality is not going to be that much better or noticeable. If you put on a 4K demo on youtube, they're both going to look incredible - even on demos with a lot of blacks.

On the positives for the Samsung, it gets noticeably brighter and it doesn't have any risk for burn it. It also mounts nearly flat to the wall if you get the Samsung flush wall mount. That is how I have mine mounted in our living room and it has gotten compliments from pretty much ever visitor we have had. Most importantly, the extra 8 inches just makes a really big difference in the viewing experience - so much that I sometimes think I would sacrifice the OLEDs PQ (which is barely noticeable most of the time with high quality content) to get the extra screen size. We watched the Super Bowl on youtube TV 4K stream, and it was an awesome experience. The 4K stream of the World Cup also looked incredible.

I have only gamed on the CX, and it's great, but the Samsung should perform just as well since they both have HDMI 2.1. And again, you don't have to worry as much about burn-in.

Depends on what size they bought, the 85" has a VA panel just like the 90b

No doubt I am not the majority but the fact Samsung does not support DTS - for me - is a big issue. Even more so than no Dolby Vision support which is also annoying. I just typically prefer DTS to Dolby formats if available. Which is few & far between sadly.
