I wonder if anyone realizes how easy it would be to steal a fingerprint off one of these
The price you pay for convenience, the same can be said just about any finger print reader. Heavy usage makes it harder to get a cleaner print though.

over a dozen reviews mentioning batteries consensus that they only last a couple weeks at most, with just one review stating an upper end of 6-8wks
Multiple people including myself beg to differ almost 8 months strong as I mentioned on the first page with the rechargeable batteries I put into it.

Peoples who units are dying are either using cheap batteries, or they have a poorly installed deadbolt that does not have a smooth glide forcing the cylinder to work harder to compensate.

laugh out loud

There are no non-HOA buildings. Who would be in charge of maintaining it?
Actually there are, some townhomes are owner owned and its the responsibility of the owners to do their own maintenance and major repairs such as roofs.

I know cause I currently live in one, lol.

Paid advertisement with the guy who paid for it replying to comments lol. Don't be a bunch of rubes.

Just wait for the kwikset to go back on sale.
Lol are you referring to me?

I purposely generated this account over 13 years ago and amassed thousand of rep points and followers just for this one day so I can push Teeho locks, LMAOlaugh out loud MY TIME HAS COME!!

Or maybe just like a few others on here, we have them and we like them, so we are knowledgeable in answering questions. The only person whos verified here from Teeho is the Teeho rep on page 1......

I really doubt someone is referring to townhomes as an 'an HOA building.' They're clearly talking about condo buildings.
You doubt but you dont know for sure, cause I know some townhome HOAs need you to color cordinate your doors/locks/heck even mailboxes sometimes.

Which is why I hate HOA's. Asking for permission for every single little thing is not home ownership.

I've had this installed on my garage for 4 months with rechargable AAs, used a couple times a day, and the batteries are still going strong on their initial charge. Two things to keep in mind:
1 - I wouldn't install this in the open where it would get rained on directly
2- All of these electronic deadbolts are very sensitive to how closely aligned your lock and strike plate are. You really want it to be butter smooth.

Those two points aside, I'd absolutely recommend this lock

The duration for which this lock can be maintained depends on its battery and usage. Once the battery is depleted, it needs to be replaced.

Free replacement within 1 year, and lifetime after-sales customer service from the date of purchase.

this is where the language barrier isn't doing you any favors, that line reads like once the batteries run out the unit has to be replaced itself

I have the Teeho version without the fingerprint reader for 5 doors and it works well. Well made too.
