Never actually owned a white keyboard before. How does it compare to black keyboards? Does it get discolored easily by for example turning yellow and are dirty marks more visible on white than black?

The frame is brushed aluminum, so not actually white. The keys haven't shown much wear/dirt so far and I use it 8+/hrs a day. I've only had it for like 6mo though.

I also have this but the low profile black version about 2yrs ago and it's still kicking. I like that the keys aren't that "clicky" though. The wrist rest is way too low for any practical use and I just got a HyperX one that works much better. The cord is thick but has a 2nd usb pass through on the keyboard (I'm not sure if that's the same still.) Anyway I'm still happy with it and at $100 it's a pretty good investment.

A couple people mentioned swapping for a hyperX wrist rest. Can you point me to the one you're talking about?

Since it's clear that sales of computer devices are declining, it seems that fire sales will start everywhere from now on...

Good price but not having hot swappable switches is a deal breaker for me.

Can you verify if you can pull the switch to lube them is that the keyboard sounds so hallow it needs some foam dampening and some lube. https://youtu.be/xfdssw2V8GY?t=158 You can set english subs in this video.

Yeah, I don't see the reason for getting anything without swappable switches now. I got an evga z15 with swappable switches for something ridiculous like $25 shipped and it's probably going to last me a long, long time.

I have a lot of old school beige keyboards and compared to black, they do show dirt more pronounced. I would think white would be really bad when compared to black and I've heard people doing stuff like washing their hands before typing and other things to just keep it clean. Personally, I don't care what it looks like as long as it gets the job done. Probably why I'm still typing mostly on IBM model Ms.

Unless they changed the wrist rest material, it gets that sticky feeling after a few years. It has nothing to do with being dirty. It is just the soft feeling texture breaking down. I replaced mine with a HyperX cooling gel wrist rest and am happy with it.

Dusting the wrist rest with cornstarch should get rid of the stickiness.

Except if this is the same stuff they put in automobiles, now you will have a dusty, dirty, cornstarchy wrist rest instead of a sticky one. EEK!

Got the black one. I'm coming from a Redragon 580 with Outemu optical browns which is my daily driver on my desktop. I use a keyboard with Outemu blues on my work laptop.

For gaming, this K70 feels better than my Redragon, but general typing the optical browns feel better to me. Keys are easier to press and respond quicker, which is great for gaming. For typing, it's actually not as bad as I thought it would be, but I do find myself accidently brushing across a key and it registering. I think I just have to get used to the sensitivity.

This keyboard looks very svelte and I really like the iCUE integration since I have my CPU fans changing color for my CPU/GPU temps, this keyboard mirrors those settings well.

I think the only thing missing that would've been nice is a pass through USB port, but that's minor. The box also said this was a USB 3.0 connection or made it seem like it's required, but I was able to plug it into my USB 2.0 switch and it works fine, even did a firmware upgrade through it.
