Deal HistoryÂ
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
The 16TB version comes out to only 10 cents more per TB, so pretty negligible difference if you want the extra 2TB of space.
Edit: Also found a better deal on the 16TB, but the "Elements" version (essentially the same as Best Buy's exclusive "easystore"). $230 through both B&H and Western Digital itself (although Western Digital is offering an additional free year of warranty, and a free 2 year data recovery plan). Beats a Black Friday deal from last year for $240.
