I ended up buying one. I have been using my pros for the past 2 years daily and the battery life started going down. 200 not bad at all for something I use 3-4 hours a day every day.

One thing for others (and benefit to air pods) over alternatives is they also offer battery service at a fairly affordable price.
The battery wears down fairly quickly. They are small and usually stick at 100% because of the way the charging and capacity is. A lot of buds work like this.
They are remarkably good. I got the pros 2 and the sound is among the better i've heard in ear buds.
Main drawback i've found is the quick device switching isn't that great. It's ok for apple sort of, but in apps like bose you can add lots of device and just switch and pick if you have a lot with toggles. Sony kind of handles that better too. With apple you have to go find the "apple" device and switch to that, and it's often a bit of trouble (several clicks).
Cheapest I've ever seen them. This is the latest model. If you are looking for these AirPods, this is a good deal. That said you can frequently find these are on sale for 199.99.
Does anyone know if Verizon does price adjustments on accessories (and how you'd do that)? I bought it for $200 the day before yesterday. They haven't even arrived in the mail yet.
As tempting as this is, I'm gonna continue to hold out for the likely usb-c case. Half a year away til the usb-c iPhone which is when I'd guess it would be released alongside. I refuse to get any more lightning products for the dream of a cable that works with all my devices and future proofing. Regardless, great price for those that don't care bout this sorta thing
