Just seems ridiculous to pay $50 for a N64 controller that works with switch, lol. I dont even remember if I paid that much for them brand new for the N64 back in the day.
Thanks!!!! Been waiting forever for this. When Goldeneye 007 came out, I told my son we won't play it until I can get a hold of 2 of these N64 controllers...any other way would be sacrilege.

I love it personally. Got a couple of these last year and it feels right when emulating the 64 games. It's a great controller IMO. But I also like the original 64 controller. It's the only offering of the classic controllers I felt the desire to get - the rest are emulated just fine on any old controller (NES/SNES/Genesis).
Just buy the official Switch Pro controller and you'll never use anything else. Complete rip-off of the greatest controller of all time (X360) and that's a good thing
That's a very good point. Mapping old controls onto a newer controller when emulating can sometimes be a pain so it makes sense that you would want the official version so it works as intended.
on a separate note, I wonder if the thumbstick on this version is any softer or if it still makes your thumbs bleed
Definitely have memories of the skin peeling off in the middle of my hands. Its impossible to play some of those mario party games.
There is a reason no one copied the C buttons. Once Sony did the two joysticks which made infinite more sense⦠N64 controller has its use and thats only for the N64.

The pro controller is hard for n64 games. The C buttons dont map logically to the buttons and its really hard to hit the right one if you choose to try to use the 2nd joystick. Thats the only reason I bought one of these. Its really awful mapping. Works ok for games like Mario/Banjo where the C button changes the camera, but if you need to use a weapon or play the ocarina for example in OOT/MM, that control does not work well. Its doable but VERY frustrating.

n64 controllers were $30 brand new back in the day...adjusted for inflation, that's almost exactly $50 today.
Thanks OP! I missed this last time it was on here... did the 2 purchase for shipping as well. Throw one in the safe with my other gaming swag just in case...
I really want to get both the N64 and SNES controllers but I refuse to give in and buy Nintendo online just for this. I don't use my switch online otherwise.

how many hands do you have? I have two and there are 3 places to hold the controller rendring the Dpad and L button effectively useless.
