Hello All, I recently just noticed my credit card apr went from 11.99 % to 16.74 % gradually over the course of a year. I contacted discover via chat to ask why, ( I obviously know why) but I wanted to see what they would say and if there was any promotions they can offer. 2 years ago I caught this promotion 0% apr for 12 months. I didn't think they would be able to do this again, but they did. this is actually pretty good in my eyes. This is something that you have to chat with them and ask for. I have the basic discover it card and have been with them since 2018 and use this as my main card. Thought it would be good to share. Thanks for reading.

I also bought a car, used, right on the card back a few years ago when I just happened to have had the offer active at the time. Bought me free money for half a year and then paid it off when offer expired. I don't feel too bad for Discover, they make the 2-3% off the top regardless.

Hi,
Which credit Union May I ask? Also are you talking equity loan or equity line of credit? Soonest response greatly appreciate. Thank

This is not a balance transfer offer (which typically has fees).
This is a new purchase offer. There are no fees as long as you pay off the balance before the promotional term is up.
Thanks OP!
"The promotional rate of 0.00% will apply to new purchases made during the promotional period between transaction start date 04/01/2023 through transaction end date 03/31/2024. After rate expiration date 05/02/2024, your standard purchases APR, currently 24.49% will apply to any remaining balance. This APR will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate. Please note that purchases that post to your account after the promotional period will be subject to your standard purchases APR. You will receive a written confirmation of this offer. Would you like to accept this promotion?"
Try one more time. Wouldn't hurt.
