this will be perfect for 95% of the population. no need for anything more expensive.
Absolutely perfect. I have been waiting for this very thing to pop on SD.

I agree with what everyone has said. If you're strong and serious enough about squatting that you're really doing well over 300 pounds, then you better be ready to spend more than $70.

Also, if you aren't yet, but planning on working up to something higher, start with this, and when you're really ready to be repping more than 300 lbs, you can easily offload this on FB Marketplace or Craigslist for this much.
You'll be fine. This can easily support 400 lbs. When they list a weight limit the actual threshold for failure is much much higher.

People in here trying to give safety advice are probably doing kettlebell workouts.

Go watch Chinese Olympic lifters squatting 600 lbs from sketchier racks if you want some reassurance

Ah, didn't see the 300 lb weight limit at first. That's a pretty big drawback, even if you're not a super serious lifter.

It's a pretty standard weight limit.

Biggest drawback is the terrible "safety spotters"

Real talk if its rated for 300 you have to understand that it'll withstand 400lbs or so minimum.

No definitely not talking about spotting arms. If you use that, its at your own peril.

I have this one with bench. It's pretty sturdy and good quality for price. One thing i hate it just too narrow. Bar gonna be tight fit and little bothering when I do my bench press.
*little hard to put on right place after few sets of press because it's narrow and too tight fit
My elbow hit on stop holders (I don't know what it's call exactly) sometime
Really good if you are not push limit heavy lifter

How well do those arms support incline / decline bench? Do they even?

I'm looking for something so I can bench heavy at home. I have 2 fears/ needs
1. Safety arms to be there when doing bench (flat incline decline)
2 when I benching and placing the weight back on the rack I fear with this type of rack i could over shoot where the weights go….if that makes sense. Usually at the gym when returning the bar k lift as high as I can then lean it back. I feel this one requires more control when returning the bar

Thoughts? Experience?

Same price for new ones all over eBay. But I'd still buy it at Walmart for the return policy.

I think it's back to what I was saying. For lower weights, this is going to be fine. If you're pushing your limits, you should have a spotter anyway, so I wouldn't worry as much about missing the arms. This is a great price for a starter setup

Yea you should probably spend $200 and get the cages that are on sale. It'll support more weight and your fears should be resolved, especially when it seems like you want to try to max out.

I would rather have a pull up bar as well. It serves a purpose for rigidity and is very versatile for work outs. Bands/rings/chin ups.

I had this with a bench. Quality control is terrible, mine had a drilled hole missing for the base. it was a bit wobbly because of that. also the spotting j hooks are not so great because the whole thing is so narrow. I got rid of rack and kept the bench which is great.
