I don't have the + account and I wanted to order an $1 item for pickup. It was not available but free delivery was available. They had someone drive from a neighboring Walmart just to deliver me a $1 item. Not that I'm complaining. I think the gas and time of the employee exceeds that $1 item. Lol

The non grocery delivery orders have no $35 min and no tipping option, just like amazon prime deliveries
And in some of those cases, the order is being split between 2 delivery drivers picking up from different stores.
It's an unclear screwy system.

The tip option is for grocery deliveries. Even Amazon has that on their Amazon fresh or Whole food delivery part. So does instacart. They all have annual fee. They all offer free deliveries. But they all have tip options.
There is no tip option on many other walmart stuff that are not considered under grocery and have free shipping with no min. The non grocery delivery orders have no $35 min and no tipping option, just like amazon prime deliveries.
I know W+ system of deliveries is not as clear as Amazon. It's new and is not well explained. And you can choose not to tip. But the tipping system under W+ is exactly same as other companies.

I tired free trial membership last year. I saw myself buying things I didn't really need because it was so easy to get free shipping with no minimum. I did like Walmart+ Rewards, though. I saw there were some rewards on toys like Lego sets during Christmas time.
Another note. We have Amazon Prime membership, and I am loving Prime First Read program which gives members one early released Kindle books free per month (value $5). Sometimes, we can get 2 ebooks free in a month. Also, Amazon Prime membership includes Prime Reading which is like a smaller version of Kindle Unlimited. I think you can borrow up to 10 Kindle books at a time for free. I have saved a lot of money on these Prime ebook programs. (My library does not carry some ebooks/books that are part of Amazon Prime ebook programs.) Also, getting no-rush shipping digital credits from Amazon is a huge benefit for me. I earn about $80+ digital credits per year, mostly from Christmas time. (I use the digital credits on ebooks and movies. Amazon used to let the digital credits apply towards Playstation Plus digital membership a few years ago which made a nice Christmas gift to kids one year.)
